Aloha to you and your family! I hope everything is going well. Summer is almost gone, but there is still time to make pizza.

As you may know, I have an Ooni Pizza oven and quite honestly I really like it. I want to share my story with you. I'll include a video at the end of this email.

I wanted to keep things simple, so I used the dough recommended on the Ooni website. I made a double batch of  the dough the day before. Once kneaded, I put the dough in the fridge overnight. The next day, I balled the dough into 250 grams balls. Out of two batches I was able to make 8 dough balls.

I placed the oven on a cart, and fired up the Ooni with seasoned Oak. The oven fired right up and I was ready to go. 

Now I must admit, the first time I used the Ooni I had some issues. I placed the Ooni on the ground thinking this was a good idea.

BIG mistake! The Ooni was about 12 inches off the ground. I had to crouch down on my knees to place the pizza in the oven. I had to stay bent over on my knees just to see the pizza. After a very tough time of bending over to cook the pizza, I learned my lesson. Am I embarrassed? A little, but I learned my lesson. To use an Ooni you need a cart or a table. At least I can laugh at myself!

If I had a pic I'd share it, but thankfully I won't make that mistake again.

Albert's Ooni Pizza Adventure

Please understand you do not need an Ooni or any other kind of specialized oven to make great pizza. You do need a home oven of course but you can certainly make great pizza with whatever you have in your kitchen! And you can even make pizza on a grill if you wish!

I want to encourage you to have your own pizza adventure. Make pizza for friends and family! Making pizza will change your life. It will make for happier relationships. It will strengthen your friendships. Your kids should also be involved in making pizza. Pizza can be a life changing event. Pizza has changed my life and I am sure it will change yours.
