Hi
As you may know I live in
Hawaii. Earlier this week we were in the direct path of Hurricane Lane. This was a massive storm. Winds of over 150 miles an hour. We were worried.
Everyone in Hawaii got ready and braced themselves. Schools closed. Businesses closed. The streets were deserted. At our home we were prepared. We had a hurricane kit with all the essentials. We had water. We practiced the Boy Scout Motto: "Be prepared".
Then the Hurricane decided to change
course. Oahu, the island I live on was spared. Some of the other Islands were not so lucky. Lots of rain and flooding.
The lesson for all of us is remember to get ready, be prepared and expect the worst. The residents of Hawaii showed true aloha. This helped lift everyone's spirits. We were ready to take care of each other.
We are safe. We are fine. I hope that if you are involved in any kind of disaster, you become
ready as well.
Stock up on all the essentials, just in case. Be calm and like the people of Hawaii share and spread aloha.
I do want to share an interview I had with legendary pizza make Anthony Mangieri. He has a pizzeria in New York called Una Pizza Napoletana. I know you will enjoy this.
There is a link at the bottom of this email.

Anyway. please be well, stay well and take care of each other.
I'll talk to you soon,
