Aloha, pizza friend! I hope everything is going well. I'm doing great. Staying healthy and masked up every time I go out. Yes, its the new normal.

 

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Pizza Expo. I had a wonderful time meeting with old friends and made some new ones. It's kind of like being at the Disneyland of Pizza. There are so many people to meet, things to see and do, you can never fit it all in in a day or 3. There were incredible demos, workshops and pizza events and products. Honestly, I missed some important events, but I hope I can make up for it next time. I did get some great interviews, which I'll be sharing soon.

 

Plus, I met James Campball of Fish Ovens, who said he liked my last email: "We learn things, when we burn things" (Chris Bianco). James had supplied some of the ovens at Pizza Expo to make pizza! That was a treat and a reminder that "It's a Small World After All"! Thanks James!

 

 

Since I'm in Connecticut, I had to drive down to New Haven to check out Pepe's. I'll include the video link at the end of this message. While in Pepe's I met Frank, who recognized me from my Pizza Therapy T-shirt.

He had stopped into Pepe's for a pizza on his way to Florida. I got a picture of his pizza but in the excitement, I forgot to get a pic of me and Frank! Sorry, Frank.

I hope your pizza adventures continue to go well! I'm looking forward to trying a few new pizza places here in the next short while.
