Hi
Aloha!
I hope you are doing well and that your summer is off to a great start.
I've been to New York a number of times. Of course when I am there I always sample pizza.
Most of the pizza there has been wonderful. Once in a while I've had pizza that is just OK.
One of the things you can do in New York is to grab a slice of pizza. That is you don't have to order a whole pizza, you can just sample a slice. It's the ultimate Grab and Go!
Most pizza places in the U.S. don't let your order just slices. You have to buy the entire pizza.
When I think of New York slices I always think of John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.
At the beginning of the movie, he grabs 2 slices, presses them together as he cruises down the street.
Classic pizza move!
I am no expert on New York pizza but I do have a friend, who is an expert.
I recently had a conversation with Scott about what exactly is a New York slice.
Here's the link:
I'll also include a link to the video at the end of this email.
Scott gives some great info on New York slices as well as some pizza tips
for the home pizza maker. This conversation was fun and interesting.
I hope you stay well and all of you pizza adventures are happy one's!
pizza on earth,
albert
